1852 Year of Maestrani's foundation
Aquilino Maestrani (1814-1880) founds his chocolate factory in Lucerne.
1875 Move to St. Gallen
1936 Minor appears on the Swiss market
Minor chocolate bar with extra hazelnuts is launched.
1997 Takeover of Munz
Maestrani buys the Munz chocolate factory in Flawil and relocates the company headquarters from St. Gallen to Flawil.
2022 Anniversary
Maestrani celebrates its 170th anniversary.
2022 Acquisition of Avelines
With the acquisition of Avelines, we expand our premium segment with a praline specialty rich in tradition.
2025 Acquisition of Chocolat Ammann
With the acquisition of Chocolat Ammann and their chocolate kisses, as well as the relocation of production from Heimberg to Flawil, we are sustainably strengthening our expertise in Swiss chocolate manufacturing.
